How to make Fishball Sweet and Sour Sauce: 4 cups (940 ml) of water plus 3 tablespoons of water (tubig) 3 tablespoons of cornstarch (harina) 3/4 cup (175 g) of brown sugar (asukal) 4 tablespoons of soy sauce (toyo) 1 small red onion, minced (sibuyas na maliliit) 2 small garlic cloves, minced (bawang na maliliit) 1 siling labuyo (chili pepper), minced (Siling labuyo) 1 teaspoon of salt (asin)
extra ingredients: 1/8 teaspoon cracked black pepper (itim na paminta) 1pc Knorr cubes
INSTRUCTIONS In a saucepan, combine all ingredients, except the red chili, black pepper and mix until flour and sugar are dissolved. Bring it to a simmer over medium heat while stirring continuously. Add the chopped red chili and stir until the sauce thickens. Usually takes about 3-5 minutes. Transfer to a bowl or a jar and let it cool down a bit before serving.
